Welcome to another week of Organica J’s Top Ten Uses! This week will be focusing on 10 helpful uses for Cypress essential oil (cupressus sempervirens).

We recently stopped in by one of our retailers Whitmuir the Organic Place. Whitmuir is located about 16 miles south of Edinburgh, in a peaceful area called Lamancha. The farm rears it’s own beef, lamb, pork, and turkey as well as growing veg and keeping hens for eggs. All of their produce can be bought in the shop, served in the restaurant, and those in the area can get home deliveries.

This week’s Top Ten Uses is focusing on Anthemis Noblis, more commonly known as Roman Chamomile.
We use roman chamomile essential oil as a key active component in our Restful Evening Bath & Body Oil and Pulse Point. They are created as a aid for sleep and restfulness at the end of the day.

Welcome to Organica J’s new weekly Top Ten Uses posts, in which we will tell you all about essential oils and what they are good for. This week’s focus is on helichrysum italicum, also known as everlasting. Helichrysum is usually best used in a blend with other oils, such as lavender, mandarin, neroli. After a good season with fairly long spells of dry weather (although not too warm here), we have now finished the comfrey harvest 2015. The comfrey plants are fine this year and because of the cooler weather, it makes harvesting easier as the plants in the sun are ready first.. We then progress to the plants that are in more sheltered areas, as they are ready later. The pictures are taken after the harvest, and as you can see we make no visual or environmental damage to this area of private ground in a wonderfully rural setting in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
