We recently stopped in by one of our retailers Whitmuir the Organic Place. Whitmuir is located about 16 miles south of Edinburgh, in a peaceful area called Lamancha. The farm rears it’s own beef, lamb, pork, and turkey as well as growing veg and keeping hens for eggs. All of their produce can be bought in the shop, served in the restaurant, and those in the area can get home deliveries.
Whitmuir was voted Best UK Organic Retailer in 2011, and was runner up in 2013 so you don’t have to take just our word on it’s greatness!
We had lunch at the restaurant and as usual, were not disappointed. I had the quiche and my daughter Josephine had the beef burger (which she said was one of the best she had ever tasted!) It was honest and good food, and the best thing about it was knowing that it hadn’t travelled far to get to your plate and the quality was unquestionable.
